... 1 thru 13 = my abbreviated version of 'noteworthy at neocon11' {based on the mere 6hrs of time i was able to spend at the mart this year}

notable design concepts + trends:

white. white. white. white showrooms, white floors. white furniture, white systems, white textured walls. after all, furniture pops so much better against a mod white background. the interiors of many showrooms simply served as understated, quiet backdrops, letting the furnishings speak boldly for themselves.

integrating technology into every element of the work space. plug in here. now. connect. now. do it!

collaboration. work together in a defined space designated for small groups spontaneously focusing their collective energies within one inspiring, comfortable setting.

flexible space. i always remember my history of furniture professor's description of {meuble} - furniture. things meant to be moved within a space. vs {immeuble} - building. fixed structure notsomuch meant to be moved really ever. so it makes sense to continue the centuries {actually millennia} -old concept that furniture is the flexible/changing part of the fixed buildings we occupy/inhabit. and flexible + changing the current workplace definitely is.
